As the son of a successful commercial contractor, it was not unusual for a young Nicholas to visit and explore the lively job sites managed by his father’s team. Fascinated by the hard work and tedious process that goes into creating these impressive commercial buildings, Nicholas grew passionate about growing his community one project at a time.
His career in construction began at the age of fifteen where Nicholas would spend his time outside of school working as an assistant to Superintendents, eager to aid in any way. While earning his Bachelor’s Degree at San Diego State University, Nicholas joined ConAm as a project manager. He quickly became the company’s lead project manager, overseeing and managing the work of all ConAm project managers.
After graduating from San Diego State University, Nicholas founded TEN Mechanical which specialized in large-scaled design build mechanical commercial projects. In just a few years, Nicholas was able to complete over 100 million dollars. Their portfolio included The Mandarin Oriental Hotel at CityCenter Las Vegas and the full expansion of the Las Vegas Convention Center as well as numerous hotel builds on the Las Vegas Strip.
Nicholas was eventually recruited back to ConAm to take over the role of President. Since taking on this new role, Nicholas has successfully rebranded the company, expanded upon ConAm’s area of expertise, and completed over 600 million dollars in work. He has successfully diversified ConAm’s portfolio to include projects within many disciplines. Due to his diligent efforts, the company now plays a competitive role in the following markets: adaptive reuse, tenant improvement, industrial, retail, multifamily, and healthcare. As President and CEO, Nicholas values quality, consistency, and integrity. To ensure that each project is completed in these values, Nicholas strives to oversee the day-to-day activities of the field and the office while taking the time to connect with each client, making him personally invested in every endeavor.
